Although it’s currently a busy exam session at the Nest, our thoughts return to the educational outing at the Home Army Museum.
On Tuesday, February 18, as part of the history-themed Inspirational Classes, Mrs. Ewa Kasińska took the students on a trip to the Home Army Museum. (Check what Inspirational Classes are available at the Nest.)
Visit to the Home Army Museum
We set off for the museum on foot from the Nest, walking through the picturesque centre of Kraków. This walk gave us a chance for some morning movement and offered time for relaxed conversations and getting to know each other better. New people are constantly joining the Nest community.
Activities in the Museum
At the Home Army Museum, the students were divided into smaller groups so they could explore the exhibits at their own pace while learning about the history of the Polish Underground State. During their visit, they also worked on answering questions prepared by Mrs. Ewa.
The fascinating story of the Polish Underground State made it relatively easy for students to answer Mrs. Ewa’s questions. At the end of the visit, we gathered in small groups to summarize our conclusions and clarify any outstanding questions.
Additional Assignment
The students were also asked to write an essay for Polish class, reflecting on any historical topic that caught their interest during the visit.
The day spent at the museum was a great review opportunity for those students preparing this year for the extended history graduation exam.
