We hadn’t realized it ourselves, but someone recently pointed it out: what exactly are Inspirational Classes? What is tutoring all about? We decided to gather these topics in one place and explain everything!
Terminology in the Nest
The Nest
This is a physical space in the centre of Kraków dedicated to high school students in home education. At the Nest, students can:
- study in comfortable conditions,
- benefit from consultations and support from teachers,
- spend time with peers while studying, enjoying tea, playing foosball, or sharing a meal.
The Nest offers study rooms, a recreational area, and a kitchen. It’s located near Plac Kossaka, close to the city centre of Kraków.
The Nest also offers hybrid support:
- the Teams platform allows participation in online classes,
- the Lectorium contains learning materials accessible remotely,
- students can schedule consultations and inspirational classes without leaving home.
Inspirational Classes
These are group sessions for a specific class that last around 45–50 minutes. hey are led by a subject teacher and aim to spark students’ curiosity about a particular topic or concept related to the subject. Inspirational Classes are offered in both core and graduation-level subjects.
Consultations
These are one-on-one sessions between a student and a teacher. During consultations, students can:
- clarify difficult topics,
- catch up on missed material,
- get guidance for independent learning.
The teacher is there to support the student with any educational challenge.
Tutoring
These are weekly individual meetings between a student and a tutor, lasting about an hour. The goal of tutoring is to:
- set and track educational goals,
- support student independence,
- build a relationship based on trust through conversation.
It’s a space for focused work, reflection, and support throughout the student’s educational journey.
All clear now? At the Nest, we strive to make learning engaging, effective, and supportive — both in person and online.
