Everything you have to know
What is Home Education at the Nest?
Home education allows learning on your own terms, in line with your needs. It’s a form of education that goes beyond the school walls.
It’s a decision made by the student together with their parents, moving learning into the home environment. On this path, the student prepares for exams independently while consulting with teachers.
At the Nest – the Daily Center for Home Education – we combine home education with tools that support the student’s learning process.
Hybrid home education at the Nest – the Daily Center for Home Education – is both a physical location in Kraków and an online space, formally part of the Catholic Montessori High School of The Righteous Among the Nations.
Students can access the Nest in a hybrid form:
- Learning from home via an online platform that enables participation in teacher consultations.
- Learning at the Nest centre in central Kraków, attending consultations and inspiring learning sessions in person. This also allows meeting peers and studying together.
How does hybrid home education at the Nest help with consistency?
The online schedule includes regular sessions called Inspirational Classes. Attendance (online) is tracked. At each weekly Inspirational class, you’ll receive an assignment to complete individually or in a group. You’ll submit it within a set time frame and receive feedback. Submission and feedback are also recorded on the platform. So even without grades, you get a tool to track your activity and progress. Remember that in every form of Home Education, you are responsible for the results of your work.
Each week, you’ll have both mandatory and optional sessions to help keep you motivated. Mandatory ones include Inspirational classes and meetings with your tutor.
What does a typical week at the Nest look like?
Each morning, there are online or in-person classes in graduation-level subjects, foreign languages, and two additional subjects of your choice. These are delivered as Inspirational classes, where teachers introduce the topics, highlight key concepts, and assign work to be completed throughout the week. Teachers review the work and provide feedback.
You’re welcome to spend your study time at the Nest if you prefer.
You can schedule consultations with teachers at selected times. There are also workshops and lectures with guest speakers from around the world, as well as interdisciplinary projects aligned with your chosen subjects.
The weekly plan also includes sessions for developing organizational skills, stress management, mindfulness, etc.
You will receive personalized support from a tutor to help structure your learning time.

Do parents have access to the online platform?
Yes, parents mainly communicate with us electronically. They can check whether you attended online classes, consultations, submitted assignments, and what feedback you received. In home education, cooperation with parents is very important, so don’t keep them in the dark. This new reality might be challenging at times, and having your loved ones’ support can really help.

Why sign up for the Nest and switch to hybrid home education?
This method “helps you learn independently” (Maria Montessori).
You’ll find support in discovering your strengths by working on your own projects. You’ll build meaningful relationships with outstanding teachers who have the time to listen and talk about your ideas and challenges.
We focus on holistic human development, encouraging students to grow through understanding their strengths and weaknesses. We provide physical space (a place to meet and learn) and a supportive community based on shared values that respects individual needs.
The Nest is a place of learning and growth. A space for effective, peaceful work at your own pace, where you can independently structure your day. A place full of inspiring materials and events.
It’s also a place for spiritual support and connection. You’ll meet people of faith and, if you wish, have opportunities to explore and deepen your beliefs.
The Nest is not a school – it is a meeting place for minds in search of truth.
